Charles E. Davidson is the Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of Wexford Capital which he founded in 1994. Mr. Davidson has primary responsibility for the overall strategic direction of WexfordÂ’s investment activities and serves as the portfolio manager for the Wexford Spectrum hedge fund and Wexford Catalyst Funds. He has served on the boards and creditorsÂ’ committees of a number of public and private companies in which Wexford has held investments. From 1984-94, Mr. Davidson was a General Partner of Steinhardt Partners, L.P. where he was responsible for all fixed income arbitrage, risk arbitrage, private equity, distressed/ bankruptcy and special situations investments of the multi-billion dollar hedge fund. From 1977-84, Mr. Davidson was employed by Goldman Sachs & Co., where he was the head of domestic corporate bond trading and proprietary trading. Mr. Davidson holds an MBA and a BA in Economics from UCLA. He lives in Greenwich with his wife, daughter, son and two dogs.
