Andrew Demetriou is a partner in the Los Angeles Office of Fulbright and Jaworski L.L.P. where he serves as Coordinator of the Corporate Business and Banking Practice and as a member of the Health Care Practice. For over 25 years he has represented domestic and foreign companies in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, complex financing transactions (including project finance, leveraged leasing, and interest rate swap transactions), and venture capital and merchant banking transactions. He has advised companies from many foreign jurisdictions on the acquisition, management, and operation of U.S. subsidiaries. His representation of health care concerns focused on business transactions, including acquisitions, joint ventures, and reorganizations as well as corporate governance issues for both nonprofit and for profit enterprises. He is a member of the UCLA Foundation Board of Governors and a long-time Chancellors' Associate, having served as Co-Chair of the UCLA Annual Fund from 1995-1999. Mr. Demetriou will serve as Chair of the American Bar Association Section of Health Law (2007-08) and has held a variety of leadership positions in the ABA and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He serves as Special Counsel to the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial Commission in Washington, D.C. Mr. Demetriou received his BA degree in Economics from UCLA and his JD from the University of California at Berkeley.
