• The Job Market. Collected advice of a cohort of Chicago students for the academic job market. This is from 2000, but much of it still applies.
• Writing Tips for Ph.D. Students from John Cochrane.
• Tips on How to Avoid Disaster in Presentations from Monika Piazzesi. Very sensible!
• How to Publish in Top Journals by Kwan Choi. Also contains some good advice about refereeing, professional etiquette etc.
• How to Access Standard Data Sources by Claudia Olivetti, Dan Silverman, and Jay Hong.
