Majors and Minors

Disestablishment of Specialization in Computing

The Specialization in Computing for students majoring in Economics and Business Economics has been officially disestablished effective Winter Quarter 2015. As a result, students who have not successfully completed at least one required Program In Computing course or Math 61 by Fall Quarter 2014 will not be allowed to enter the Specialization.

Students who have successfully completed a PIC course or Math 61 may add the Specialization in Computing once they are officially in the Economics or Business Economics major and have successfully completed PIC 10A and 10B.

For students who are still interested in learning programming, note that Program in Computing courses will continued be offered by the Department of Mathematics. For any questions regarding PIC courses, please contact that department.

Additional Information is available in the Economics section of the UCLA General Catalog.
