2008 Commencement
The Department of Economics Commencement will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2008, at 6:00 PM, in Pauley Pavilion. Beginning around 5:15 p.m., students will line-up on the north side of Pauley Pavilion (between Pauley and the Intramural Field). The doors to Pauley Pavilion will open up at 5:00 p.m. for your guests. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis for your ticketed guests.
Academic Regalia (i.e. cap, gown, etc.) is now available for ordering. Tickets must be ordered between May 1 and May 14 via my.ucla. You can order four complimentary tickets. Additional tickets will be available at $8 per ticket. Click on the #currentyear# Commencement Information link below for more details regarding tickets. You will need to complete the Senior Survey online through my.ucla in order to order tickets.
If you have guests coming in from out of town and need to make hotel and/or dinner reservations, please visit the following web site as you will find it to be a useful resource, http://www.commencement.ucla.edu/. If you are planning to make dinner reservations after the ceremony, keep in mind that the ceremony will not end until about 8:00 PM. Dinner reservations should be made for sometime after 8:30 PM.
A professional photographer will be present to take photographs of each graduating senior as he/she receives individual recognition. You will be forwarded online proofs free of charge shortly after the ceremony and then will be able to order through the company, Bob Knight Photo.
