2009 Department of Economics Commencement

Ticket Ordering and Pick-Up:

You may order up to thirty tickets and can request to be put on a wait list for an additional ten tickets between April 28 and May 12. The first four tickets are complimentary, with the remainder at $10 per ticket. If you would like to purchase additional tickets above these limits, please visit the Department of Economics counseling office in 2263 Bunche Hall.

You will be able to pick up your tickets at the Central Ticket Office (CTO) between May 18 and May 29. If you will not be on campus during the pickup period, you may send a self-addressed stamped envelope to the UCLA Central Ticket Office at:

Include a note inside stating that you are unable to pick up your tickets (and parking permit, if you have pre-ordered it) and that you wish to have them mailed to you. You MUST include your UID so that CTO can access your order.

Student Processional Line-Up

The line-up will begin at Pauley Pavilion Gate 15 (NE corner) at 5:15 p.m. Please bring your completed name card, which you can pick up from the Department of Economics counseling office in 2263 Bunche. This card will be used to recognize you individually on stage. You should be wearing your cap and gown, which can be purchased via your my.ucla or in person from the Campus Photo Studio/Graduation Etc. on "A" level of Ackerman Union (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).

Parking

You can pre-purchase parking for $9 via my.ucla.edu. Parking can also be purchased on Commencement day. Note that Parking Structure 7 is the most convenient location for access to Pauley Pavilion.

Special Inclusion Petition

If you have completed at least 148 units by the end of Winter Quarter 2009 but have declared a Degree Expected Term of Fall 2009, you can file a Special Inclusion Petition to participate in the upcoming commencement ceremony. You can find this petition under "Commencement" on your my.ucla. The deadline to submit a Special Inclusion Petition online is Friday, May 8, at 4:30 p.m.

UCLA Policy on Tickets

Section 102.06 of the UCLA Student Conduct Code makes it a student conduct violation to sell Commencement tickets; violations will be reported to the Office of the Dean of Students and could result in a student not receiving his or her diploma after graduation.
