The Office of Instructional Development is the umbrella organization that coordinates most instructional services.
Mini-grants are available from the Office of Instructional Development.  TAs can receive $250 in mini-grants per year.  Mini-grants are given for the purchase of items and to support activities that contribute to undergraduate teaching.

Technology Resources

The Faculty New Media Center exists to help TAs and faculty develop technological projects that are designed to teach undergraduates.  If you have an idea for teaching FNMC will help you realize it.
CLICC (College Library Instructional Computing Commons), 145 Powell, x 60271

CLICC offers free workshops in basic software including Photoshop, PowerPoint and Access regularly throughout the quarter.  If you need to learn a new software fast, taking one of these classes may be useful.
Instructional Media Production Lab (IMPL), 190 Powell

The IMPL has all the equipment needed for students, TAs or faculty to develop multimedia projects.  All projects must be related to undergraduate education
Audio Visual Services (AVS), B-103 Campbell, x66591

AVS can bring additional audio visual equipment to a classroom including data projectors and projectors that can be attached to laptops.  Requests for equipment must go through the department and setting up an appointment for training is sometimes recommended.
Academic Technology Services (ATS), Mathematical Sciences 5308

ATS offers workshops on statistical packages such as SAS, Stata and SPSS and provides computing services for disabled students. More generally, ATS provides resources and services to support UCLA's computing environment.
