Dr. Patrick L. Welton, Co-Founder and CEO
Dr. Welton is a principal of the firm and the Chief Executive Officer. In his role, he chairs the firm’s Management Operating Committee and participates in ongoing research. He has been an active investor since 1981 and an investment manager since 1989. Dr. Welton has served on committees for the Managed Funds Association (MFA) and as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Futures Association (NFA) from 1997-2000. He has also spoken at numerous conferences in the U.S. and internationally, participated in panel presentations in many venues, and authored articles in a variety of publications focusing on alternative investments. Dr. Welton currently serves as an investment committee member of a foundation and a California pension plan. He holds undergraduate, doctoral and postdoctoral degrees from the University of Wisconsin, UCLA, and Stanford University respectively.
Annette L. Welton, Cofounder and Chair
Ms. Welton is a Principal of Welton Investment Corporation, a Co-Founder of the firm and Chair of its Board of Directors. In her role, she provides oversight of management, develops independent feedback to the Board, and engages in high-level industry relations. Prior to assuming her current duties in 2009, Ms. Welton served as the firm’s Chief Operating Officer where she was instrumental in leading the firm for two decades. Previously, she served on the Managed Futures Association (MFA), (now Managed Funds Association) Public Relations and Trading and Markets Committees, as well as on the National Futures Association (NFA) Nominating Committee. Ms. Welton currently serves on the UCLA Foundation Board of Directors. She is involved with various charitable, civic and nonprofit organizations in her local community. She holds a BS from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
